Yellow, once a major U.S. truck carrier, is now in the final stage of bankruptcy liquidation.

Judge Craig Goldblatt has approved Yellow’s Chapter 11 plan, directing about $700 million in remaining assets to creditors. But shareholders MFN Partners and Mobile Street Holdings have filed appeals, so the case is not fully closed.

Yellow’s Truck Terminals Sold Off

$2.5 billion worth of truck terminals and industrial properties have been released to the market and quickly taken over by major carriers, including FedEx, Estes, Saia, Knight-Swift, XPO.

In California, the Tracy truck terminal was acquired and restored by Estes.

Latest Deal

ArcBest purchased six former Yellow truck terminals across Alabama, Michigan, and Pennsylvania for $10.2 million, folding these locations into its regional truck routes and shifting network flows in multiple markets.

Market Impact

Major carriers are absorbing Yellow’s truck terminals, and the sudden release of $2.5 billion in assets is reshaping regional trucking networks across the U.S.
