Business Community & Events Manager
Location: Walnut, CA
Schedule: Full-time, on-site, with flexibility for luncheon, dinner, and evening events
Language: Bilingual Mandarin Chinese and English required
About the Role
We are seeking a polished, outgoing, and highly proactive Business Community & Events Manager to help grow and represent a business networking platform built for Chinese entrepreneurs and cross-border business operators in the United States.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident speaking with business owners, executives, and high-net-worth individuals, and who enjoys building relationships from the ground up. You will lead monthly events, conduct cold outreach to business owners and community leaders, develop strategic partnerships, and become a recognizable face of the brand in the local business community.
This is not a back-office event coordination role. We are looking for someone who can create meaningful connections, host with confidence, and help turn community engagement into long-term business relationships.

Our platform is designed to serve Chinese business owners and cross-border operators in the U.S. by providing access to information, resources, and networking opportunities in areas such as cross-border e-commerce, logistics, overseas wealth planning, U.S. business resources, and real estate. We are committed to building an open, collaborative, and mutually beneficial platform that supports the growth of the Chinese business community in America.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and host monthly business events, including luncheons, dinner gatherings, networking mixers, business visits, and industry-focused events
Conduct cold outreach to business owners, partners, speakers, and community leaders to expand the platform’s network and influence
Build and maintain long-term relationships with entrepreneurs, executives, and referral partners
Represent the brand professionally in meetings, events, and community-facing settings
Identify and develop partnership opportunities with local businesses, associations, and industry contacts
Support event promotion, guest communication, RSVP coordination, and follow-up outreach
Facilitate introductions and help create referral opportunities among community members
Work closely with leadership to shape event topics, outreach strategy, and community growth initiatives
Gather market feedback and identify ways to improve member engagement and brand presence
Occasionally visit businesses or attend external events to strengthen relationships and expand visibility
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in business development, community outreach, partnerships, event marketing, client relations, hospitality, or a related field
Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable speaking with business owners, executives, and high-level professionals
Outgoing, confident, and not afraid to initiate conversations or build relationships through cold outreach
Strong sense of professionalism, personal presentation, and executive presence
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple events, conversations, and follow-ups at once
Self-starter with strong follow-through and a relationship-driven mindset
Able to work flexible hours as needed for business lunches, dinners, and evening events
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Chinese business communities, chambers of commerce, networking groups, or cross-border business ecosystems
Familiarity with commercial real estate, logistics, cross-border trade, or related industries
Experience hosting events, moderating discussions, or representing a brand publicly
Experience creating business-facing content, invitations, or event recap materials
